Hi! I'm Deb!


I am the owner of Beauty by Creative at Heart. I am the voice you hear on the other end of the phone and the person behind the text messages. So nice to meet you!


I am a Christian. You can say I'm a Jesus freak and I'm okay with that. He has blessed my life in countless ways, carries me through every challenge in my life and gives me hope in all things. In March of 2020, I was given a wake up call that no one wants to be given and without Him, well...let's just say things would be much different in my life.


I am the proud momma to two amazing young men. Being a boy mom has been my greatest joy. My family is fantastically blended, somewhat broken, and a little bit crazy; but absolutely everything to me.


I don't sleep the day before your wedding. I pray for you. I pray for your wedding day. I pray for perfect weather and perfect circumstances. And I pray for your beauty team to be blessed and give you the most memorable experience as you prepare for your day.


I am a creative soul. I am an artist. I have been a graphic designer my entire adult life and work as the Senior Graphic Designer for the most outstanding litigation support company EVER. I am also the owner of small, private graphic design company. I absolutely love everything I do and never feel like I am working despite working almost constantly.


I am annoyingly upbeat and positive and see the good side in all situations. I believe that all things happen for good and God puts people into and out of our lives for a reason or a season. I see beauty everywhere, in everything, and in everyone. I am creative at heart and gifted by God.


I have been a makeup artist for nearly 15 years. I never aspired to be a makeup artist and I certainly never imagined I would have a team of over 20 amazing artists. The beauty industry chose me quite by accident and I fell in love. I am honored to pamper you on your most precious days!


I'm obsessed with eyes and clean beauty. But mature beauty is my passion. Whether you are mature by the number of years you have blessed us with your presence or are mature because of what life has thrown your way, bringing out the beauty in those who have given up on their look, find it frustrating and complicated in the hustle and bustle of every day life, or have forgotten that how you look directly affects how you feel, is empowering and I am excited to help you be the most amazing version of yourself!

At Beauty by Creative at Heart, we think it's important for you to know your beauty team - the authentic and true artists! Let me introduce Emily - one of our fantastic hair artists. Emily joined the BCH team in 2019. She adds her own personal twist to every style and has transformed the crowning glory of many brides. She loves a more romantic, "un-done, I woke up like this" look and favors a loose, messy updo or fishtail braid. She can't wait to pamper you!



Hi! I'm Emily!


I love Christmas! I also love coffee, Fall, crafting, decorating, baking, doing hair, jazz, tattoos, blankets, and fireplaces... Now that I think about it, I'm kind of like a walking Hallmark movie!


I am Mama to the best 7 year old in the world. He is my favorite gift I've ever received! I love Jesus and owe Him everything, since He gave me everything! Nothing can ever separate me from His love! Whaaat!


I've been doing hair for 14 years, and I love making people feel beautiful and special. I also love making spaces look beautiful and feel cozy. Decorating is my number one passion, and one day I said, "I'll just do what I love and make money doing it! What a novel idea!" So in addition to my love for hair, I started a business with my cousin, organizing and decorating homes. Reorganizing and decorating a new home can add to the stress of planning a wedding. Your Day-of Beauty

You've been planning for months and today is the day! Our team is excited to share the short time prior to your walk down the aisle. This is a special time you get to share with your closest friends and family. Music, charcuterie boards, mimosas, laughter, happy tears, and glam are all part of the experience.


Your beauty team arrives with a myriad of tools, and we are here for one purpose, to make you look and feel your very best. As we set up our "workstations", we are not shy about rearranging furniture to be sure we have the best work environment to do what we are hired to do.


Your artists need space and room to work. Makeup artists require the best natural lighting, a work surface near an electrical outlet, and those without their own chair will need a barstool. Your hair artists need a work surface near an outlet for hot tools and a low, preferably armless, chair.


Many times, we already know you. We have been having conversations via phone, text, and email about your day. Your team has been given your schedule, a copy of the contract and invoice has been shared with them, and they have seen the inspiration photos you have shared. We are ready to pamper you. Conversation is underway with you and your besties about the schedule, specific desired looks for hair and makeup, tweaks to your bridal look that you'd like to make. While there is a lot of behind the scenes things that take place on our end, there are also things expected of you and your wedding party as well.


We have a schedule and time frame in which to work. You and yours must be prepared and ready to go. We have given you our "Guide to Day of Beauty" to help you navigate some of the things we recommend and how everyone should arrive. These things are critical to a timely schedule and the best beauty outcome.


How to Prepare for Your Big Day


We often build some extra time into our schedule, however, unexpected things like "a quick shower", wet hair, or a bite to eat, and last night's makeup have not been. Unless it has been specifically discussed ahead of time, everyone should arrive with clean (or one day dirty) and completely dry hair and clean faces.


Every small thing adds to the outcome of your day of beauty. Sleeping with a full face of makeup can cause breakouts and while we can cover them, the best approach is to remove all makeup, wash and moisturize your face the night before and morning of your big day. We know everyone is excited and the party has likely already started, however, excess alcohol and various foods can lead to a puffy, swollen face. Final preparations and late nights could also prevent you from washing your hair resulting in oily, greasy hair that will not produce the best result no matter what product our artists use to help.
