As we slowly exit of a season of social distance and isolation, Beauty by Creative at Heart is focused on how we can provide you with even better, more personalized service. We have all observed and heard of the effects of the restrictions placed on us due to COVID-19. We need to connect and crave the intimacy of face-to-face interaction.

Our "normal" has always been opposite of what we have recently experienced. The cold, seemingly unfriendly, smileless world is not something we could ever accept as the norm. Moving forward, we are committed to more smiles, more interaction and more fabulous service.

I have always preferred doing business on a more personal level. Face-to-face interaction, a phone call is far more preferable over automated e-mails or text messages. At the very least, a personally crafted e-mail adressed to each person individually is important! Our business requires a personal touch.

How can we connect and stay connected to your clients? Beauty by Creative at Heart has a list of things on their "to do" list to stay connected and let our brides and clients know that they are essential, that we care and are here for them despite the seasons we face.

Separation has brought clarity to how blessed we are to share such special moments with YOU and make even a small contribution to big occasions! Fun gifts and surprises, random messages, and extra pampering will become the new and improved norm for Team BCH.

We are excited for the changes and the opportunity to provide you even more fabulous service.

Our hearts are with you as many have no idea when to reschedule, postpone, or delay during this Covid19 pandemic. We all find ourselves confused, frustrated, and sometimes just plain defeated.

BCH has been researching what other industry professionals are doing and a recent conversation with a friend in North Carolina shed a little light on a challenging situation. This sweet couple celebrated a small, intimate wedding on their original date; however, they will also move forward with their “big” celebration when it is safe to have a large number of guests.

Stay in touch with your vendors during this time. We have made provisions for our brides and most likely others have as well. Your vendors are ready to stick with you, be flexible and understanding so we encourage you to use your vendors if all of your needs can still be met! Most count on the income from weddings to pay their bills so they'll be willing to work with you.

Your florist? Send flowers to someone you love just "because". Others? Drop a text and let them know you are thinking of them. Couples across the country are having virtual weddings! Others are postponing but a consensus here at Beauty by Creative at Heart, well, we love the idea of a small intimate gathering and believe you should get married anyway! Your grand celebration with friends and family can be held at a later time.

Perhaps this is the time to renew your vows! Have an intimate gathering with your besties and rekindle that spark.

Renewal, small gathering or large, we are at the ready to assist you. At Beauty by Creative at Heart, we want you to look - and feel - more beautiful than you already are! We have our makeup artsts and hair designers ready to safely give you the look you want for whatever occasion you are celebration.

We know this will end. Things may be a bit out of sorts now but we will make it through this! Check out other wedding sites and blogs for more helpful information and inspiration. As always, we are here for you! Call us and we can work out your options together.

So you have a BIG day coming up! Congratulations! We know there is so much that goes into planning a wedding or any grand occasion. While you are searching for the perfect dress, most amazing venue, the best photographer to capture every moment, fabulous eats, and all the other details that go into the perfect celebration, don't forget about taking care of yourself and your skin!

Those photos are going to tell lots of stories and you want to rock your best, glowing skin! Makeup is important and can give you the perfect look but without healthy skin, it just won't work as well as it could. Healthy skin = beautiful makeup.

Here are a couple tips to consider as you prep for the day in the months and days before you walk down the aisle.

Exfoliate

Exfoliating your skin with a good exfoliator is critical to healthy glowing skin. Any product you slather on your face will never do what it's meant to do if it can't penetrate beneath dead skin. Exfoliating can:

  • unclog pores

  • help prevent acne

  • eliminate fine lines

  • help other skincare products penetrate deeper

  • evens skin tone

  • boosts circulation and lymphatic drainage

  • increases cell turnover

  • stimulates collagen

It's important to use an exfoliator without jagged edges that will scratch or aggravate the skin. Opt for one with perfectly round particles - not those with crushed shells for example. It is equally important to use the right amount of pressure. Too much pressure and you can break blood vessels and wreak havoc on your skin.

How often: 2-3 times per week

Hydrate & Moisturize

Hydrating and moisturizing are not the same thing! So let's define the difference.

Hydration absorbs moisture from the air, infusing your cells with water to improve your skin’s ability to absorb moisture and nutrients.

Moisturizing traps and locks moisture in to build your skin’s natural protective barrier. This prevents water loss and ensures your skin remains soft and smooth.

If your skin is dull and any fine lines and wrinkles you have are becoming more noticeable, your skin is dehydrated. Apply a hydrator to combat this issue and give your skin the much

-needed nourishment.

If your skin is prone to being dry or you have flaky skin, the skin barrier may not be locking in moisture. Apply moisturizer to restore your skin’s plump and bouncy appearance.

How often: daily
